Close your account

We are sorry to see you go!  Learn how to prepare your account for closure, and then permanently close your account.

Steps to close your account

  1. Move all object records to the recycle bin.

  2. Move all acquisition records to the recycle bin.

  3. Empty the recycle bin.

  4. Delete all reports.

  5. Delete all active API keys.

  6. Change the moderator of any communities you maintain, or delete the communities.

  7. Delete the account profile image.

  8. Delete other users from the account.

  9. Close your account.

Step 1: Move all object records to the recycle bin

  1. Go to your Dashboard.

  2. Under Records, select Total object records.

  3. Select the first record.

  4. Select Move to recycle bin.

  5. eHive will ask if you are sure. Select Move to recycle bin.

  6. You'll be taken back to the Dashboard. Repeat steps 2-5 for all records.

Step 2: Move all acquisition records to the recycle bin

  1. Go to your Dashboard.

  2. Under Records, select Acquisition records.

  3. Select the first record.

  4. Select Move to recycle bin.

  5. eHive will ask if you are sure. Select Move to recycle bin.

  6. You'll be taken back to the Dashboard. Repeat steps 2-5 for all records.

Step 3: Empty the recycle bin

  1. Go to your Dashboard.

  2. Under Records, select Recycle bin.

  3. On the Object records tab, next to each record, select Delete.

  4. On the Acquisition records tab, next to each record, select Delete.

Step 4: Delete all reports

  1. Select Reports on the menu.

  2. Next to each report, select Delete.

Step 5: Delete any API keys

  1. Select Settings on the menu.

  2. Select API keys.

  3. Next to any API keys, select Expire.

Step 6: Change the moderator of any communities you maintain, or delete the communities

  1. Select Settings.

  2. Select Communities.

  3. Next to the community, under Membership type, select Maintain.

  4. Either change the moderator of the community, or delete it:

    • Under Community moderator, in New moderator, enter an email address and select Change moderator.

    • Or under Close community, select Close.

Step 7: Delete the account profile image

  1. Select Settings.

  2. Select Account profile.

  3. Next to Account profile images, select Edit.

  4. Select Delete.

Step 8: Delete other users from the account

If you are on the Silver plan or above, delete any other users from the account.

  1. Select Settings.

  2. Select Users.

  3. Select Active users.

  4. Select a user and select Delete user.

  5. eHive will ask if you are sure. Select Delete.

Step 9: Close your account

  1. Select Settings.

  2. Select Account status.

  3. Under Current usage, make sure the usage is 0MB (zero megabytes).

  4. Under Account, select Close account.
