Comments
Learn how to set up commenting, and how to approve, reject or delete a comment.
About comments
People can comment on records in your collection. This is a great way to build information about your collection and form a sense of community.
Your collection is enriched when people comment on it. People can add details, history and stories about the objects in your collection.
Commenting is turned on by default, but you can turn it off.
Turn off or turn on comments

Log in to My eHive.

Select Settings from the menu.

Select Record and file settings.

Under Object commenting, select one of these options:

No commenting allowed
-
Allow comments
-

Select Save.
Set comment moderation
You can review all comments before approving, rejecting or deleting them. Or you can only review comments with profanity. In this case, all other comments would appear on your site.

Select Settings from the menu.

Select Record and file settings.

Under Object commenting, then Comment moderation, select one of these options:

Comments with profanity

All comments
-

Select Save.
Set email notifications for comments

Select Settings from the menu.

Select Record and file settings.

Under Object commenting, then Notifications, select Email admin users about a new comment.

Select Save.
Moderate a comment

Go to your Dashboard by selecting your account name in the top-left of the screen.

Under Object comments, select Requires moderation.

On the Pending tab, next to the comment, select one of these options:

Approve: The comment will be published to your object record, and will appear on the Approved tab of the Object comments page.

Reject: The comment will go to the Rejected tab of the Object comments page. You can later approve or delete it.

Delete: The comment will be deleted.
