The Date made field records when the object was created.

Search example: date:[1950 TO 1959]
Field type: Text field with 40-character limit
Field location: Detail tab in the object cataloguing page (but not for natural science objects)

Search tips

You can search on this field with its ID:

date

For example, enter date:[1950 TO 1959] into the search field to find all records made in the 1950s.

Note: You will only find records that match the date format in your search. If you use different date formats across your collection (23 May 1950, 15.2.58, 20/6/1956), you will need to search for each format.
