Public and private fields
Fields in eHive are categorised as either Public or Private.
If you choose to publish a record publicly, all the information in the Public fieldswill be visible to everyone who visits eHive. Enter information that you'd like to share with the public into these fields. The public fields are grouped together on the Public tab of the create screen.
Private fieldscan only be seen when logged into your eHive account, even if the record is published publicly on eHive. You can use private fields to record administrative information that may not be suitable for publication, such as acquisition sources or valuations. Information in these fields will not be visible to the public, even in published records.
